More From beginning to end, our Abacus experience was a dining night to remember. At the end of this birthday dinner, we were presented with a small but delectable chocolate dessert, complete with birthday candle and side of coffee ice cream. The salmon was perfectly prepared-oily and tender, not overcooked. Our main courses include sushi (an Abacus specialty) and wild salmon, with brussel sprout leaves as our side. We started with the celebrated lobster shooters, a unique and delicious appetizer. Like a good, experienced waiter, he picked up our cues and didn't continually interrupt our dinner to ask us how everything was. The restaurant interior is stylish and spacious, with a modern, hip ambience. Upon our arrival at Abacus, we were promptly seated by a courteous staff member. All “rules” were strictly followed, the food and drink was incredible so come on out and enjoy a meal outside the home. We had the entire place to ourselves for about an hour and as we lingered over after dinner drinks and coffee we watched as Jasper’s diners slowly began to come in - which we were happy to see for Jasper’s sake. All were delicious and while we focused on dinner our sides should not go uncommitted upon - the japaleno corn and crispy Brussel sprouts were excellent choices which were suggested by our server. This was followed by our dinner choices: fried pineapple bowl (which was an unexpected delight), a massively huge cheese burger, and the salmon. After our drink orders were taken and served the three of us started with the yummy blue cheese chips. The service was the usual Jasper’s standard - fast, efficient without being overbearing.Īll of our food choices were prepared exactly as ordered and served piping hot. The restaurant was fully staffed and sadly we were the only diners from our 6 PM reservation until around 7 PM. at dinner learned it was due to COVID-19. The menu has changed slightly and all of us. This former location of Abacus is now Jaspers Uptown and if you are familiar with Jaspers in Legacy (which is now gone) you will find this to be a wonderful new location for an old favorite.
